The Twisted Spine and the Brooklyn Horror Society are thrilled to continue their series, Dark Sparks: Films That Ignite Horror Authors. At each screening, an author will appear in person to introduce a film of their choosing and for a reading of their own work. We'll have signed copies of their books for sale, alongside some classic and contemporary books that provided terrifying inspiration.
Join us at Nitehawk Cinema Prospect Park for the fifth Dark Sparks on Thursday, May 15th, featuring THE HOWLING and author Nat Cassidy, to celebrate his newest novel, WHEN THE WOLF COMES HOME!
Nat Cassidy writes horror for the page, stage, and screen. His acclaimed novels, including MARY: AN AWAKENING OF TERROR, NESTLINGS, and REST STOP (Bram Stoker Award nominee), have been featured in best-of lists from Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, NPR, the Chicago Review of Books, the NY Public Library, Amazon, and more, and he was named one of the "writers shaping horror’s next golden age" by Esquire. His newest novel, WHEN THE WOLF COMES HOME, comes out April 22nd.
THE HOWLING (1981): After a bizarre and near deadly encounter with a serial killer, a television newswoman is sent to a remote mountain resort whose residents may not be what they seem... directed by Joe Dante, best known for GREMLINS (1984).
